Position Description

 

 

Qualifications:

Three or more years of Hospitality Sales Experience.  Proficient with PCs and Microsoft office for letter and proposal writing.  Solid communications and people skills.  Able to read and write English well, and be able to communicate professionally and personably in business settings and public speaking environments.  Qualified individuals will be able to coordinate work with hotel staff members and management, and have good group activity coordination skills.

 

Key Requirements:

•             Drive growth in Revenue, Occupancy, and RevPar by setting, meeting, and exceeded agreed quarterly goals.

•             Actively sell for two Salt Lake City properties, conducting 20-30 outside sales calls weekly.

•             Conduct 20-30 prospecting phone calls weekly in addition to outside sales visits.

•             Conduct 2-3 qualified site inspections and/or FAMS each week.

•             Work during business hours, approximately 9am-6pm daily, with occasional weekends or after hours events as needed.

•             Attend two and sometimes more Networking or Chamber of Commerce events per week, some after business hours.  Events would include networking luncheons, BNI Groups, Associations, (MPI, UBTA, etc.), Visit Salt Lake Member Connections, and Hospitality Events.

•             Work with other hoteliers and industry professionals to build relationships

•             Generate weekly reports covering targeted accounts, activities and next steps with each, and identify progress and blocking issues.
