| Position Description |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Corporate outside sales calls, qualifying clients and meeting needs. Primary focus is proactively selling the Residence Inn City Center and Courtyard Downtown hotels. 2. Establish and maintain close contact with top accounts, and target accounts, through appointments, phone calls, tours, correspondence, and business lunches. Assess their current and future needs. Network with prospects to uncover other decision makers within assigned segments. 3. Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitzes, and other sources. 4. Complete weekly sales reports through hotels database system . Submit to Director of Sales. 5. Maintain accurate sales files and trace system of all accounts in Telenotes!. 6. Work closely with all hotel departments by communicating and coordinating all sales information (group resumes) necessary for professional execution of commitments. 7. Establish Marketing Plan (PSR) with sales team. Perform sales tasks and goals as outlined in the Marketing Plan. 8. Create and execute quarterly action plans (SMART) and bonus goals. 9. Attend and participate in weekly Sales Meetings as well as training seminars and other meetings as requested by the Director of Sales. 10. Courteously accommodate special request of a guests and be prepared to answer guest questions regarding the hotel and local area facilities and services. 11. Develop and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce. 12. Participate in community activities, employee functions and guest events. 13. Attend company meetings as requested by Director of Sales or General Manager. 14. Participate in the weekend MOD program and help host the manager’s reception. 15. Know and follow hotel emergency procedures. 16. Follow proper key control procedures for issued keys. 17. Practice safe work habits. Always drive defensively while on Sales Calls. 18. Carry out any reasonable request by Management. | ||
