Montage Deer Valley, opening December 2010 in the year-round community of Park City, Utah, promises to be one of North America's finest mountain resort destinations.

Director of Housekeeping start date is currently scheduled for September 2010. 

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations for the department's development of long term directions and support of Montage Deer Valley Mission, Vision and Values; including profitable financial management, effective leadership, excellent customer service skills, and supervision of department requirements and standards.

Duties include, although are not limited to;

* Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.

* Responsible for overall financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the department. Manage the selection, training and development of employees with an eye toward maximum employee satisfaction, productivity and guest satisfaction.

* Responsible for the long term vision and direction, including improvements and projects.

* Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.

* Manage operating and Laundry expenses to minimize costs while providing excellent guest services.

* Coordinate department's activities with other departments to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.

* Bear ultimate responsibility for monitoring consumption and ordering replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.

* Oversee divisional matters as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights laws.

* Meet all service and production standards for Montage Deer Valley.

* Hire, train, supervise and develop colleagues for maximum effectiveness.

* Provide seamless employee relations with contract employees, ensuring proper training and culture integration.

* Create and maintain proper and personal relations with Residential Owners.

* Maintain effective cost control through systems and processes.

* Continually strive to improve all areas of responsibility.

* Establish safe working conditions through appropriate training.

* Ensure that all equipment is maintained and used accordingly.

* Create appropriate relationships with all levels of hotel Associates.

* Ensure proper inventory control for linen, terry and all amenities/operating supplies.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Performs additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.

Position  Requirements The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

* Five (5) plus years experience in housekeeping within a luxury resort.

* Must have Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Opera preferred.

* Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

* Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

* Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.

* Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.

* Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations.

* Must possess basic computational ability.

* Must possess basic computer skills.

* Budgetary analysis capabilities required.

* Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower, productivity and other expenses.

* Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including, but not limited to the following statutes and their comparable state and local laws (where applicable): Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, and NLRA.
