Job Overview

The Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown, located at a walking distance to downtown attractions and events, is looking for an energetic individual to our Banquet Department team as a Banquet Manager.

We are looking for a leader with the charisma and skills to thrive as a banquets manager in a high energetic, fast paced location. This position will oversee operations of our banquet department and ensure 100% guest satisfaction and successfully host events for clients.

Responsibilities:

•Hire, train, retain, and manage of all banquets employees.

•Ensure that the banquets staff adheres to Radisson standards of operation and provides Yes I Can! service to all guests

•Exceed guest expectations by providing genuine hospitality, paying personal attention to details, and caring for the guests and banquets staff.

•Provide employees with coaching and counseling to help them succeed and reach their full potential.

•Organize and plan all banquet functions and events, coordinate with the Sales, Catering, and Kitchen departments.

•Review and correct errors in Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to ensure correct orders are placed.

•Lead BEO meetings on a regular basis with staff in order to make sure that quality service is provided to guests.

•Anticipate Banquet Scheduling and supply needs based off of BEO’s and forecasting.

•Review contracts with banquet vendors and order necessary supplies to meet department needs.

•Work with Accounting Department to maintain departmental budget.

 

Requirements:

•Have two – three years hospitality management experience.

•Have Banquet or Event experience.

•Have a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.

•Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

•Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

•Able to resolve conflicts of guests, supervisors and employees.

 

Physical Demands:

•Ability to lift 20 lbs. on a regular basis.

•Able to setup and take down tables, chairs, stages, and other banquet meeting fixtures.

•Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds occasionally.

•Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
