seeking a hard working, driven team member with guest service experience to join our outstanding Banquets team! We are seeking a Banquet Set-Up Attendant to fill a part-time, on-call position. Banquet Set-Up Attendants are responsible for setting-up & breaking-down banquet service, and performing necessary pre-shift sidework. Banquet Set-Up Attendants are also responsible for reviewing menus thoroughly in order to familiarize themselves with all items on the buffet and the means of preparation being offered that day, including the ingredients, preparation, sauces, and garnishes. They also ensure that the banquet station is properly set-up and clean. In addition, Banquet Set-Up Attendants are responsible for setting up hot and cold food stations, displaying food in a pleasing, aesthetic manner; and maintaining constant communication with the back of house kitchen staff in order to replenish all hot and cold food in an appetizing display. These Attendants must practice “clean as you go” techniques of service, including refolding napkins and cleaning between courses, and keeping the station clean, neat, and supplied at all times; they also decorate the buffet with seasonal decor. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and have, or be able to obtain, a valid Utah food handler’s permit. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings, weekends & holidays.
