Zermatt Resort & Spa in the beautiful mountain town of Midway, Utah – is seeking a dedicated, experienced, driven individual to manage our Banquets team and oversee guest group events including weddings, corporate meetings, family reunions, retreats & more. The Director of Banquets has several important duties, including supervising banquet events to ensure the highest guest service, to accommodate guest requests and incorporate guest suggestions and comments when feasible; managing costs to ensure profitability and efficiency; training banquet staff on guest service standards and procedures & proper food handling techniques; ensuring efficient, timely set-up and take-down of banquet events; assisting Sales in designing themes, décor, and marketing materials for group functions, holiday events, etc.; managing, mentoring, motivating, and scheduling banquet staff members; and more! This position requires a formal education of a high school diploma, a minimum of 3 years Banquet/Group F&B experience, and prior management/supervisory experience. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Utah food handler’s permit & alcohol serving permit. Must be at least 21 year of age to apply, as this position includes alcohol serving and management duties. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a propensity for motivating and mentoring a team, and excellent guest service skills. Must be able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
