Candidates must have strong knowledge with large commercial equipment including kitchen, laundry, and mechanical systems. A Shift Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest room, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. A Shift Engineer will also perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred, along with basic trouble-shooting skills. Good coomunication skills are necessary. Previous hotel engineering experience is required. This position may also assist with shift coverage in other areas of the Engineering function.

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills required.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills required.
- Must be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Must be a self-starter.
- An open and flexible schedule that includes overnight, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Good customer skills are also required.
- A minimum of 3 years building maintenance experience is required with hotel experience preferred
