Visit Ogden works with the people and places of our community to sustainably curate, cultivate and promote meaningful experiences for residents and visitors. We are the designated Destination Marketing and Management Organization for Weber County.

Visit Ogden is looking for a vibrant, motivated marketing manager who wants to share their passion for the greater Ogden community with others. If your skills and experience align with storytelling, social media and community outreach, this role allows you to Invest your time in a position where your efforts help residents and visitors discover the best of Weber County.

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Communications but is also accountable to Visit Ogden CEO and Board of Trustees.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
• Social media strategy, creation and management including short form video content and video content for other platforms.
• Monitor and engage daily on Visit Ogden’s social media channels and encourage exchange of user generated content.
• Determine best practices for social media management and implementation.
• Establish clear goals for each social platform.
• Ensure created content is being utilized via multiple platforms and/or channels.
• Work with freelancers to secure content including photographers, videographers, social media influencers, etc.
• Develop a comprehensive content calendar, in coordination with other marketing team members.
• Track all efforts in relation to content goals and performance measures and provide monthly/annual reports detailing social media statistics and results.
• Ensure accuracy of website content by consistently reviewing and updating all content.
• Create, manage and maintain organization’s digital assets library of photography and video assets for easy accessibility.
• Ogden Eats, or other created events, outreach and social media support.
• Prepare monthly social media statistical reports.
• Assist with content and/or data gathering for marketing campaigns.
• Other duties as assigned.

MEASUREMENT STANDARDS:
• Quarterly and annual agreed upon goals.
• Completes work within established deadlines and within budget.
• Be knowledgeable of Weber County venues, attractions, lodging, and entertainment and act as a Weber County ambassador in all areas.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be passionate about our community and have a working knowledge of all it has to offer.
• Experience in a marketing role that includes proven familiarity with both traditional and digital marketing tools.
• Candidate must have strengths in multi-tasking, organization, and creativity.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Effective written and oral sales skills are essential. Must possess superb people and presentation skills.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team and maintain an ability to concentrate and stay on task in an open work environment.
• Technical skills including:
o Experience with data analytics software for research and reporting.
o Knowledge of SEO/SEM campaigns, and experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
o Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Content Management System (CMS) software.
o Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite as well as marketing software such as Google AdWords.
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends when required.
• Position is expected to work in the office with Remote Work available upon approval.
• Physical/Sensory/Cognitive Requirements to Perform Essential Job Functions
• Ability to sit at a desk, operate computer keyboard and view computer screen for 6-8 hours per day, if required.
• Ability to assist with event setup and tear down.
• Must be able to hear and converse via telephone and in person.
• May be required to lift boxes and small equipment up to 50 pounds in weight.
