Flair, integrity and passion. If you possess these amazing qualities, you may be a great asset to our sales team! Hotel Management at Zermatt Utah is looking for a Sales Manager to represent their properties. Sales territory is primarily in Utah County.

As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for developing and fostering business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel and conference space. Also, develop strategic action plans to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.

Essential Functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing group sales, including identifying potential new group business, negotiating room nights and rates.
  • Coordinating the passing of files for new bookings to Conference Services Managers.
  • Participating in industry-related professional organizations, attending trade shows and conducting sales trips, as needed.
  • Completing weekly group sales reports.
  • Working with Conference Services Managers, other Sales Managers, and the Revenue Manager to assure maximum utilization of meeting space.
  • Providing feedback relating to guest comments, observations, industry trends, etc.
  • Prospecting for clients using multiple sales and social media sources.
  • Conducting on-site property tours.
  • Entertaining clients on and off property in a professional, businesslike manner, in keeping with Zermatt’s highest standards and values.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of competition in the field of hospitality sales.
  • Requirements:
  • This position requires a thorough knowledge of sales in the hospitality industry.
  • Requires the ability to compile objective and measurable data and produce reports.
  • Requires experience with MS Office software, as well as hospitality sales software.
  • Requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and previous experience in hospitality sales.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, energetic, have a high attention to detail with a warm, confident and hospitable personality.
  • Must be willing/able to travel & have a flexible schedule.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends & holidays, as needed.
