Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Procurement oversees all activities of the Snowbird centralized Purchasing and Warehouse teams, including but not limited to purchasing, receiving, inventory, distribution.  Snowbird is a hospitality organization so experience in the food and beverage, retail and lodging areas would be helpful.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the buying, shipping and receiving, and central warehouse teams, including mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Develops new and existing suppliers for the resort. Analyzes vendors for cost-savings opportunities while also maintaining resort quality standards.
  • Ensures department and resort compliance with administrative procure to pay policies and procedures.  Maintains robust internal controls over resort assets and expenditures.
  • Manage external and internal supply chains to ensure various departments have adequate supplies to meet projected business demands.
  • Balances monthly departmental inventory. Reconciles any overages or shortages.
  • Negotiates with vendors for better terms, credit limits, service, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a member of the Resort Management Team to ensure procurement requirements and activities are aligned with business objectives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement processes, tools, and systems
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value-added benefits.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Shifts vary, from early morning to late evening, weekends, holidays depending on business requirements, but typically follow general business hours of 8-5, 5 days per week.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
  • May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work is subject to frequent interruptions, making continuity and accuracy difficult.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
