Hourly wage: $15.00 – $16.20

SUMMARY:
As a member of the Snowbasin Lift Operations team you will play an integral role in the overall operation of the Snowbasin Ski Resort. Snowbasin Lift Operations is a division of Mountain Operations. As a member of the Mountain Operations team you will fill a key role in the success of Snowbasin. At the same time you will also fill a role providing our guests with the service that is a trademark of Snowbasin. Lift Operators should be friendly, attentive and reliable person aged 18 years or over.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
Read, understand and abide by the GA code of conduct, employee handbook, and department polices & procedures.
Maintain a positive work environment by working and communicating in a courteous and professional manner with all Snowbasin guests and co-workers.
Adhere to all GA and Snowbasin uniform and grooming, attendance, and record keeping policies.
Promote Snowbasin’s vision of “Great Mountain, Great Service, Great Value” and all company/departmental guidelines.
Have ability to reason and react quickly and thoughtfully to any situation.
Be energetic, dependable and self-motivated.

EQUIPMENT USED:
Skis/Snowboards
Snowbasin lift systems: Staedli, Dopplemayer, Leitner-Poma, ChairKit, SunKid, Zebra Scanner

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
Learn and display all departmental and company policies and procedures with a focus on safety standards.
Candidate must have an ability or willingness to learn to focus on personal and guest safety.
Follow and advocate the Skiers Responsibility Code and all other Snowbasin safety practices.
Protect, promote, and train safety of self, co-workers, and Snowbasin Resort guests at all times.
Promptly report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate manager.
Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
Drive in accordance with the law and Snowbasin Resort policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age or older
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must be willing to learn how to provide a quality experience for Snowbasin guests.
Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Candidate must be able to follow procedures and directions associated with Snowbasin mountain operations.
The ability to ski/snowboard is recommended but not required.
Ability to travel to Snowbasin for scheduled shifts.
Ability to work on all weekend days and holidays.

EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Must be able to speak, read and write to enhance the communication process.
Should have, or be willing to learn, both verbal and written communication skills.
Currently in school, H.S. Diploma, or equivalent
