PURPOSE OF POSITION:  To ensure guest, owner and employee satisfaction by fulfilling the Deer Valley Difference.  We provide customers with unparalleled attention to detail and a genuine pledge to service excellence.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in all things Deer Valley Resort. (Skiing, Sales, Properties, Service, ETC…)
  • Ability to provide excellent and specialized customer services for our owners/guests
  • Competent in using various computer softwares such as: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and all Deer Valley P.O.S./management systems (Maestro, Kipsu, RTP, Ikon Site, etc..)
  • Follow prescribed formats for writing documents and presenting information to others
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and balance accounts at the end of each shift
  • Strong ability to perform multiple tasks/prioritize in order to meet changing job conditions
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Recognize and initiate best hospitality practices in order to solve practical problems that arise
  • Build connections with owners, guests, and all vendors
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry luggage
  • Must have a clean driving record and valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Must be able to endure/work in the daily changing winter conditions
  • Ability to adapt and perform in fast changing daily tasks/conditions/situations

 

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports directly to Assistant General Manager, Operations Supervisor, and Operations Lead
  • Responsible for assisting colleagues in the setup and take down of the day’s operations which include and are not limited to:
    • Moving ski racks to and from the ski slope beginning and end of day
    • Moving skis from lockers to the outside ski racks/ski deck
    • Maintain the ski deck/ramp by shoveling new snow, grading ramp for easy slope access, de-icing area, and creating snow stairs
  • Monitoring texting service Kipsu throughout the day to assist all members with needs/requests
  • Greet and assist all skiers skiing in by helping them with their skis and putting them away
  • Assist Associate Locker Room with needs and requests throughout the day
  • Responsible for tracking, organizing, and storing all owner and guest skis and poles
  • Responsible for assisting all requests regarding rental ski equipment coming and going from local rental shops
  • Assist owners/guests with having their skis tuned with local ski shops
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all Ski Hospitality locker rooms (5th and 6th floors)
  • Maintain, stock, and clean coffee/espresso and water machines in both locker rooms
  • Sell, redeem, and assist all Deer Valley lift ticket needs through cash/credit card transactions
  • Responsible for posting/charging all in house charges: lift ticket sales/ski tunes/retail product
  • Assist Owner Services and Operations Supervisor with inter department duties:
    • Cross train in other departments including but not limited to housekeeping and maintenance
    • Transport owner/guest locally via club vehicles
    • Perform concierge duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to: complete checklists, answer phones, schedule owner/guest activities, create/update owner/guest itineraries, document all owner/guest interactions and requests using Maestro, Outlook, Kipsu and any/all other computer programs, complete accounting functions, perform related owner/guest follow up correspondence
    • Create and distribute itinerary on local activity, event, and restaurant information
  • Provide appropriate direction, information, and instruction on all things Deer Valley Resort and Deer Valley Club
  • Fulfill any and all reasonable owner/guest requests
  • Ensure owner, guest, and fellow employee satisfaction by going above and beyond to perform the “Deer Valley Difference” we provide at Deer Valley Resort
  • Demonstrate proactivity with owners,guests, and fellow employees in problem resolution with urgency, respect, and empathy
  •  Provide constructive suggestions for improvements, as well as assisting with documenting problems with Supervisors and Managers
  • Build cooperative interdepartmental relationships in the spirit of owner, guest, and employee satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean, uncluttered, well-supplied work space
