Job Summary:

The Director of Information Technology at our luxury resort is a key role, responsible for leading the IT department and ensuring the seamless integration of technology into all aspects of our operations. This position requires a strategic thinker who can balance technical expertise with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. The Director of IT will play a critical role in enhancing guest experiences, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring the security and integrity of our IT systems.

 Job Specification:

Onsite: Black Desert Resort

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time

The budgeted range starts at $85,000 – $110,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.


Job Responsibilities but not limited:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the hotel’s business objectives and enhances guest services.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, including guest-facing technologies, property management systems, network security, and telecommunications.
  • Ensure the security of IT systems and data, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and complying with data privacy regulations.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Oversee IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Implement and maintain technology solutions that enhance guest experience, such as mobile check-in, smart room features, and high-speed internet access.
  • Provide ongoing operational support, troubleshooting, and training to ensure staff are proficient in using IT systems and tools.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and efficient use of resources.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and innovations in the hospitality industry, recommending and implementing new solutions to improve services and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with other department heads to integrate technology solutions that support overall hotel operations and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) in a senior IT role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse IT team.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality technology systems, network administration, and data security.
  • Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
