Job Overview

As a Parking Attendant at Snowbird, you will direct guests and answer questions about resort parking and roads. The responsibility of Parking Attendants is to effectively oversee parking lots, with the goal of optimizing the use of available space and prioritizing the safety of our team and visitors. You will also collect parking payments for guests visiting the festival.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Direct guest, commercial and employee vehicles for orderly and efficient parking on resort property.
  • Expedite safe flow of traffic with minimal congestion.
  • Take credit card payments from guests as they enter.
  • Scan and verify guest, commercial and employee vehicles for appropriate reservation credentials.
  • Resolve issues as they arise to keep traffic flowing efficiently.
  • Expedite safe flow of traffic with minimal congestion.
  • Interact with guests, employees and vendors in a pleasant manner.
  • Provide information for guests to assist them while navigating in the resort.
  • Operate 2-way radio for communication with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Direct vehicles to parking in assigned lots.
  • Efficiently scans parking reservations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, simple arithmetic and personal interaction. Must be able to use 2-way radios and follow appropriate radio operating.
  • Must be able to occasionally work and make decisions without direct supervision, if conditions warrant.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Part-time, every Saturday and Sunday from August 12th – October 15th (Including Labor Day, Monday Sept. 4th)
  • 9:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Shifts vary depending on business levels.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold/heat and other extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
  • Must be able hand stress from steady flows of traffic and complete tasks.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
  • Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
  • Direct and continuous contact with guests.
  • Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
