Job Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for assisting to generate new revenue and lead opportunities with existing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel and restaurant while maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Working Relationships
Reports to: Director of Sales
Supervises: Sales coordinator/Banquet staff
Interfaces with: Clients, Employees, General Managers, Vendors, Revenue Management, Catering Manager, Banquets Manager
Wage: DOE
Primary Job Duties
Responsible for assisting the Director of Sales with developing a yearly sales and marketing plan to ensure sales revenue goals are met.
Develop and maintain client relationships with a base of local and national accounts.
Answer incoming phone calls for both Room Sales and Catering.
Actively sell hotel meeting room space and appropriate food and beverage to ensure sales goals are being met.
Maintains accurate records of sales activities and results and prepare period end results.
Represents hotel when necessary to local communities through affiliation with professional business organizations.
Draw up and execute proposals and contracts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of hotel experience in sales, reservations or front office.
Excellent verbal, written and organization skills.
Great phone skills, ability to work in fast paced environment and to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred: Familiar with Hilton computer software
