Job Overview

Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa is hiring a full-time Assistant Front Office Manager. The Assistant Front Desk Manager will work closely with the Front Desk Manager to ensure efficiencies in the daily operation and a positive guest service experience is achieved. This position is instrumental in creating an inspiring hospitality experience for the guest from the time of arrival to their departure through billing.

Responsibilities

  • Assists reservations, front desk, and guest services managers / supervisors as needed.
  • Full understanding of computer systems as it pertains to the front office.
  • Handle training of direct reports to ensure standards are achieved.
  • Maintain inventories at the front office.
  • Prepare Group information sheets.
  • Attend appropriate meetings as assigned.
  • Check all areas of the lobby, bell, front desk to make sure it is stocked, looks clean and inviting to our guests.
  • Ensure team is using HotSOS for all housekeeping and engineering requests.
  • Meet with team daily to review tasks. Review group arrivals; check in/check outs, reports and requests.
  • Be visible and engage with guests. Phone courtesy training.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Initiate and implement up-selling techniques to promote hotel services.
  • Perform all tasks of a front office staff as needed to facilitate service.
  • Assist in responding to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Respond to Medallia and social media surveys professionally and timely.
  • Assists all past guests with billing questions and disputes.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager/Director of Rooms.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Two (2) years hotel front desk experience preferred
  • General understanding of the Hotel industry
  • Positive, empathetic demeanor
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and property management systems
  • Ability to work various shifts (nights, weekends and holidays)

The Hotel functions seven days a week and 24-hours a day. All employees, both management and hourly, must realize, at times, it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift so support business demands.
