Job Overview
The Carpenter Position contributes to the hotel’s commitment to high‑quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence and has a desire to excel.
This position creates an exceptional experience for our hotel guests by providing welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment with a positive attitude and pleasant demeanor. Our Carpenters will be required to perform construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. They will also be responsible for the maintenance of equipment, supplies, and tools. Basic troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, etc.) are preferred.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of how to use basic carpentry equipment such as, but not limited to: table saw, radial arm saw, miter saw, door plane, drill press, routers, etc.
- Ability to build quality finish cabinetry
- Experience installing plastic laminates and veneers
- Creativity in designing projects from start to finish
- Ability to perform basic furniture repairs
- Veneer repair experience preferred
- Paint and drywall experience preferred
Qualifications
- Good customer service skills and the ability to use hand tools and power tools are required.
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Must have open availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and be able to work without direct supervision.
- Previous experience in construction, cabinetry, and/or carpentry industries preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, as well as knowledge and skills in commonly used tools, preferred.
