Job Overview

Repair and maintain all finishes, wall coverings and similar items throughout the hotel facility

 

Reports To:      Painting Supervisor

 

Standard Specifications_______________________________________________________________

                                                                                                                     

All work is to be performed in a quick and efficient manner. When working on guestrooms, the engineer is to great the guest with the guest’s name (on work order).  Ask if it is a good time to do the work or offer to come back at a better time. Inform the guest when the work is complete and ask if they need anything else. When you leave the room there should not be any signs that you were ever there.  ALL tools and parts should be removed from the room, all fingerprints wiped off, all dirt cleaned up.  If necessary call housekeeping for assistance. All engineering personnel will be well groomed and in clean uniforms.  If you uniform does get dirty return to the shop and change before going on any other calls.

 

Basic Job Function___________________________________________________________________                                                                                                                              

 

 

¨      Maintain and repair all walls, ceilings, and finishes; maintain hotel color scheme specifications

 

¨      Complete all assigned work orders in a timely fashion; complete respective reports.

¨      Maintain inventory and requisition materials as needed

¨      Perform any engineering duties assigned by supervisor

 

Job Skills Required___________________________________________________________________                                                                                                                            

 

¨      3+ years Previous painting experience

¨      Ability to paint all surface types

¨      Ability to plaster, patch or effect repairs to drywall or plaster

¨      Ability to mix or match all paint types

¨      Ability to make repairs to all wallpaper types including vinyl, paper and trim goods.

¨      Ability to repair millwork/molding with stains and touch up products.
