Job Overview

This position requires keen customer service and knowledge to provide memorable experiences for our guests. One of the first tenets of operating a successful pool is efficiency and accuracy in maintaining exemplary customer service and maintaining a clean space. Your main job objective is the overall cleanliness of the entire outdoor pool space. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: customer service, daily maintenance of the outdoor pool deck, and maintain par levels of towels and shower amenities. The skill set requirements include effective communication, organization, and impeccable attention to detail while multi-tasking and outstanding customer service skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• Time management, accuracy, attention to detail and exceptional customer service is a key to this position.
• Utilize the Guest Arrival/Checked-in list to ensure all guests visiting the pool are either guests of the hotel or meet the minimum requirement from guests of the spa.
• Daily maintenance of the outdoor pool, kiddie pool and whirlpool.
• Re-stocking rolled towels around the outdoor pool deck. This will also require some physical labor in being able to move laundry carts from laundry to the spa areas.
• Ensure the proper levels of back stock of towels are ready for use by our guests.
• Maintaining expectable levels of all shower amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gels.
• Keep all lounge chairs well organized throughout the day to ensure a beautiful arrival experience for guests.
• Be aware of guest departure from the pool to ensure quick response to the removal of towels and placement of chairs.
• Removal of dirty towels from all bins, pool deck and used lounged chairs promptly.
• Accomplishing a set list of side work duties in a timely manner.
• Abiding by all the guest service standards.
• Responsible for adhering to all State, Federal and local laws as they pertain to the sale and service of food and beverage products.
• Responsible for monitoring the actions of guests and staff ensuring proper health and safety standards are met.
• At all times provides a favorable image of The Grand America Hotel to promote its aim and objectives.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees.
• Performs other job-related duties as directed.
• Will be available to assist servers by; running food &/or drink orders, expedite food, buss, pre-buss, set & pre-set tables, fill waters, retrieve bread and openly communicate information to the table’s appropriate server.
• Effectively communicate information to management staff if a guest expresses any frustrations.
• Problem solve when necessary.
• Never say “NO” to a guest; although we may not be able to provide exactly what a guest may want, it’s important to provide options.
• Be a “Team Player,” this is important for any position at The Grand Spa.
• A checklist will be provided to ensure all aspects/duties of your job are completed daily.
