Job Overview

$1,000 sign-on bonus.   Public Area Attendants are integral to the success of The Lodge at Blue Sky, they play a key role by ensuring that the public spaces our guests see first and last on their visits with us are in line with our highest value of luxury with wild abandon.  The Public Area Attendants are responsible for serving the needs of the business, our guests and our team members by ensuring that all hotel areas are well maintained and cleaned,  ensuring that the appearance and environment of all public areas meet the highest standards as set by Auberge Resorts Collection and The Lodge at Blue Sky.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all public areas are properly cleaned at all times, in line with The Lodge at Blue Sky’s Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Ensure health & safety requirements are adhered to, including personal knowledge of the correct usage of all chemicals used in Housekeeping.

  • Ensure that lost and found items are processed properly and that the correct logs are maintained.

  • Ensure security awareness throughout The Lodge, reporting incidents to the manager on duty when warranted.

  • Ensure all special requests are met and all needs are anticipated.

  • Clean and take care of all the working equipment used.

  • Report any damage or loss in public areas immediately after being found.

  • Remove any used F&B items from public space and return to the dish-pit.

  • Utilize all technology and systems provided by The Lodge at Blue Sky to update status, complete requests, and add notes.

  • Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from public and team member bathroom mirrors, vanities, sinks, toilets, urinals, and floor.

  • Sweep, mop and vacuum all public area floors daily.

  • Complete all cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

*Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • To perform this job successfully, a qualified public area attendant will possess the abilities to perform each duty listed above as core responsibilities.

  • A genuine affinity for interacting meaningfully and positively with guests.

  • Experience providing housekeeping services, preferably in a Forbes Rated (or equivalent) Hotel.

  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of guest information and designated hotel data.

  • Ability to work effectively leads a team in providing exceptional service in a luxury hotel environment cohesively with other departments and individuals as part of a team.

  • Ability to prioritize and follow up on work assignments.

Desirable

  • High school graduate or equivalent and some college.

  • Prior Forbes Travel Guide training.
     

SKILLS

Required

  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly when providing daily service to guest rooms.

  • Ability to focus attention on details.

  • Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the event and to exert physical effort in daily duties.

  • Ability to work cohesively with team members and follow the supervisor’s direction.

  • Ability to communicate in English.

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 9 hours, mostly indoors but with the potential of working outdoors in all weather conditions.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting the property.

  • A constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.

  • Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.

  • Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. frequently

  • Vision requirements: the constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms’ reach.

  • Hearing requirements: the constant need to speak on the telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to the general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
