Amangiri, Sanskrit for Peaceful Mountain, is cradled by the greatest concentration of national parks in the U.S.; a staggering landscape of canyons, mesas, mountains, gorges, rapids and desert. Each treatment draws on the four elements; Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Our Food and Beverage team blends the traditional culinary culture of the Southwest with the modern dining experience. Guests at Amangiri enjoy dishes inspired by Native American Cuisine while taking in the sunrise or sunset from the floor to ceiling windows. Opened in July of 2020, Camp Sarika seems truly set apart from the rest of the world. Here, guests enjoy the true connection to nature. Surrounded by canyons and mesas, the wilderness encampment combines the simplicity and solitude of the desert with the thrill of exploration and adventure.

LOCATION – This role is based in our property Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah (near Page, Arizona). Candidates must be willing to relocate to this very remote region of Southern Utah/Northern Arizona.

THE POSITION – The Server provides support for the daily operations of the Food & Beverage Department by performing Food & Beverage related duties at the professional level and supporting the Food & Beverage team in all functions both back and front of house. Position included comprehensive benefits package (employee coverage is approximately $30/month), Paid Time Off, 401k retirement program (partial match), and worldwide travel benefits.  Low cost shared housing is available on a limited basis in nearby Page, Arizona to those outside the region.

  • Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and taking responsibility of guest needs.
  • Attending the daily line-up and knowing what the specials are and how many we have.
  • Setting the dining room and prepping the server stations according to meal period.
  • Knowledge of all menu items and accompanying silverware.
  • Delivering bread and butter.
  • Relay orders to kitchen.
  • Food running – presenting food to guests according to standard.
  • Clearing plates from guests and cleaning tables according to standard.
  • Answering guests requests immediately.
  • Be aware of all tables in the dining room, if you notice a table that has been unattended for awhile-ask if there is anything you can do for them.
  • Informing the kitchen of any special requests or needs (allergic to shellfish).
  • Recording and passing on any useful information to the host/hostess such as special occasions, etc.
  • Know how to answer the phone and properly take a Private Dining order (also need to ask for turn down service during the PM shifts).
  • Know when to fire your food and how long it will take for the food to come out.
  • Inform guest about certain dishes because they may take longer than others.
  • If children are with a group ask the adults if the would like the children’s food to come out when ever it is ready.
  • Communicate with other servers or back servers to see if they need any help


  • Taking daily status report of all suites.
  • Attending the daily line-up and knowing what the specials are and how many we have.
  • Supporting the team in a positive & helpful manner.
  • Reporting missing or damaged items and lost and found items.
  • Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform.
  • Wearing a nametag at all times.
  • Assisting General Manager and Manager on Duty in times of need.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assisting in the setup and breakdown of special events and functions.
  • Becoming familiar and complying with all Amangiri policies and procedures.
  • Be prepared to answer any questions about the hotel or the food.
  • Assist guest with their chair.
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness and tidiness of dining room and public space.
  • Polishing glasses and silverware.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of back of house and kitchen area.
  • Completing opening & closing responsibilities.


– Need to be competent in the use of Micros.
– Knowledge of dining room and kitchen procedures helpful.
– Previous dining room experience helpful.
– Must be able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
– This position is extremely physical in nature. All employees must expect the following for sustained periods during each work shift.
– Sustained standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting of potentially heavy loads, sitting, twisting, etc.
– Working indoors and outdoors, in various climates including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
