SUMMARY
The Bellperson impacts every aspect of the lodging guest’s Sundance experience by creating a positive sense of arrival, facilitating a thorough check in and check out service, providing safe and efficient transportation to guests around property, providing accurate and efficient room deliveries, and guiding the guest’s experience by sharing comprehensive and accurate resort information while fulfilling Sundance guiding principles and environmental commitment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warmly greets and thanks each guest.
Provides a professional welcome to guests arriving to the front desk.
Ensures the Bell stand, Sundance vehicles, and guest reception area are clean and organized.
Opens the lobby door for guests.
Introduces guests to the Front Desk Agent or Concierge as needed.
Provides a personalized in-room check in service to acclimate the guest to the property.
Carries luggage for guests and places on the luggage rack in the lodging unit.
Responds promptly to shuttle requests and deliveries.
Provides safe transportation for lodging guests utilizing the on-property shuttle service.
If certified, provides safe and timely transportation to and from the airport.
Follows protocol on entering an occupied room.
Delivers room service in a timely manner confirming the items ordered.
Resolves any errors in room service quickly.
Provides room tours to prospective clients and guests.
Complies with Sundance’s no-idling policy.
Supports the recycling program and assists and educates guests as needed.
Shares the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the occasion arises.
Provides exceptional guest service at all times.
Is very friendly, positive, and professional.
Assists other departments as needed with transporting goods on and sometimes off property.
Cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of Sundance-issued vehicles.
Documents vehicle inspections in the log book.
Immediately reports accidents to Safety.
Effectively communicate exceptional Sundance knowledge to staff and guests.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing based on the requirements of the Sundance’s Insurance Policy.
Thrives in a fast pace or leisure working environment and effectively manages multiple tasks and competing deadlines.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position, for example: minimize waste, recycle, conserve energy, purchase and use sustainable products, educate co-workers/guests on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar environmental ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats, and carpool with co-workers to minimize carbon emissions. All employees are invited to participate in environmental or Sundance Preserve sponsored events.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer proficiency and resort experience preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to operate 2-way radio for communication with staff. Some computer experience is helpful.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must have a current valid U.S. driver’s license with fewer than two moving violations within the last two years and/or in good standing based on the requirements of the Sundance’s Insurance Policy if over 25 years of age. If 21-24 years of age, may not have any moving violations on record to be insured to transport guests.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The incumbent must be able to speak and read English fluently. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
