Job Overview

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing general maintenance and repairs to Glenwild buildings and facilities. Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, and door and window repairs.

Requirements include: a working knowledge of refrigeration; air conditioning; electrics; plumbing; kitchen equipment and other mechanical devices, construction and building repair; ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as heavy lifting, working on ladders, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.

Essential Job Duties:

Maintains and repairs Clubhouse equipment and facility, including, but not limited to:

General repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical system, appliances, elevators, ventilation system and building structure of the club.

Maintains all fixtures and equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule, and records such maintenance in log book and Property Maintenance Calendar.

Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and pool pumps.  Supervises the filtration and chlorination of swimming pool.

Maintains and services pool and spa areas including testing and daily logs and records, as stated by State and City regulations.

Repairs parking lot and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete, fixes stone patios using grout work or other suitable materials.

Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.

Keeps accurate records of key control changes.

All other duties as assigned.

Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from Department Manager and General Manager.

Full-time, year-round position. Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
