Job description:
Reid Ranch Resort, located in the beautiful Uinta Mountains near Fruitland, Utah (Duchesne County), is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for our 2026 summer season. This is a seasonal leadership position overseeing kitchen operations for a family-friendly mountain resort serving approximately 150–250 guests per day in a buffet-style dining program for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Local or Utah-based candidates are preferred.
Position Details
- Location: Reid Ranch Resort (Administrative office located in Salt Lake City)
- Season: May 18 – August 8, 2026
- Schedule: 5.5 days per week (Sundays off)
- Pay: $300 per day
- Housing & Meals: Private room and full room and board included
Responsibilities
- Plan and develop daily and weekly menus
- Oversee buffet meal service and food presentation
- Manage weekly food ordering and inventory
- Supervise and schedule kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Coordinate kitchen workflow for efficient service
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Executive Chef experience
- 1–2 years banquet, buffet, or high-volume food service experience preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience with food ordering and inventory management
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced seasonal resort environment
