Job Overview

As a Full-Time, Year-Round Cliff Lodge Front Desk Agent at Snowbird you are responsible for providing excellent customer service throughout our guest’s stay by exceeding their expectations and performing all duties in regard to the operation of the front desk. You will assist guest with check in and out, give general information about the resort, answer the telephone, take reservations, receive customer complaints and find solutions, and demonstrate outstanding customer service.

As a Front Desk Agent at the Cliff Lodge, you will:

  1. Check guests in and out in a professional and friendly manner.
  2. Display the ability to communicate discount and up sell strategies.
  3. Accommodate guest’s special requests and VIP arrivals with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
  4. Book guest reservations using knowledge of occupancy levels and departure information.
  5. Respond to guest questions and tasks action to resolve customer complaints.
  6. Verify guest payments: handle cash and process credit cards.
  7. Protect guest privacy.
  8. Assist guests with restaurant reservations and general knowledge of the resort.
  9. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Hotel receptionist job experience is a plus.
  • Great listening, speaking, presentation, and up sell skills.
  • Multitasking is a must.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • 18 years of age.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.

Work Schedule

  • Specific Shift: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and possibility of mid shifts 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • You must be available to work both shifts based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Shifts may vary from early morning to late evening depending on business levels.

Work Conditions

  • Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Hotel Lodge conditions.
  • Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
  • May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
