Job Overview
The role of a lead host or hostess is to create amazing dining experiences by warmly greeting and seating guests, using names when possible, and maintaining a smooth operation through the use of a waiting list. You’ll oversee the host desk and hosts while ensuring the guests are receiving impeccable service.
Your role will consist of:
- Training hosts
- Ensuring hosts follow procedures
- Graciously great and seat guests
- Adjust flow of guests with a waiting list
- Call out name and party number when table becomes available
- Once guests are seated, gently pass out menus and state who their server will be
- Review each table for proper presentation before guests are seated
- Talk with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their dining experience
- Respond to complaints and help resolve issues with appropriate team members
- Assist bussers and/or servers when appropriate
- Communicate with servers and managers
- Thank guests as they exist the restaurant
Host Qualifications / Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Restaurant experience is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years of age for am shifts
- Must be at least 21 years of age for pm shifts
- Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Certification
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Exceptional grooming habits
Expectations (Physical Requirements & Working Conditions)
- Travel to Snowbird Resort
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Shifts may vary from early morning to late evening
