Line Cook Job Description

Reid Ranch Resort, located in the beautiful Uinta Mountains near Hanna, Utah (Duchesne County), is seeking a dependable and hardworking Line Cook for the 2026 summer season. This is a seasonal, live-on-site position supporting the Executive Chef in preparing and executing meals for a family-friendly mountain resort serving approximately 150–250 guests per day in a buffet-style dining program.

The Line Cook plays a key role in food preparation, helping ensure meals are consistently prepared, organized, and served on time.

Position Details

  • Location: Reid Ranch Resort (Administrative office located in Salt Lake City)
  • Season: May 18 – August 8, 2026
  • Schedule: 5.5 days per week (Sundays off)
  • Pay: $250 per day
  • Housing & Meals: Room and board included

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and executing all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
  • Prepare food for the chef
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment
  • Follow direction from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of culinary experience required
  • Experience in banquet, buffet, or high-volume food preparation
  • Previous Line Cook experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Current Food Handler’s Permit required
  • ServSafe certification preferred
