The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Job Specification:

Onsite: Black Desert Resort

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round / Full Time

The budgeted range starts at $58,000 – $70,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

 

Job Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Perform routine accounting duties including processing transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and assist in managing cash flow.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data.
  • Maintain financial records and files, ensuring they are organized and up-to-date.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support as needed.
  • Respond to accounting-related inquiries and provide assistance to the finance team.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing required information and documentation.
  • Stay informed about current trends and changes in accounting regulations.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
